DeVore Stadium- September 19. Barons won 30-29  against Scripps Ranch Falcons following a devastating defeat of 0-37 against open division champion, Mission Hills. The first quarter began at 7:00 PM with the Barons looking good on offense, 10 minutes into the quarter Barons received 3 points. Following, Barons Kick-off to Falcons, the ball is received by the falcons at the 15 yard-line, but went down at the 25 yard line thanks to Baron  Senior Christian Gilstrap. The quarter continued on, and the Barons switched to playing defense once the Falcons closed in. The first quarter ended on the eight yard line at the Barons expense.

The second Quarter began with a touchdown for the Barons, making the score 9- 0.In the second quarter, several great tackles were made by Baron Nick Montoya. Then, Barons went defense again after Falcons score one, then two touchdowns leading into half-time with the Barons 9, and the Falcons 16.

 

Barons continued to play defense in the third quarter until getting a touchdown made by Abshir Adbi making the score 15-16. In the fourth quarter, Barons received yet another touchdown, making the score 21-16, then received a two point conversion bringing the score to 23-16. The score remained with the Barons in the lead for six plays until unsportsmanlike conduct gave Scripts the chance to make a touchdown and bring the score to a tie, 23-23. The Barons were unable to break the tie, so the game went into overtime.

In overtime, Barons had first possession and brought the score to 30-23. In the end, after Scripts tried to get a two point conversion to win the game, Barons won with an ending score of 30-29. In addition to great plays made by Christian Gilstrap Nick Montoya, Abshir Adbi, Chris Bogurlle also played great as ball carrier.
