It’s the idea of a fresh start. That’s the one thing that motivates me, the idea that I get to start over. I get to try again, see new students and see what they can offer. That’s always at the top of my mind when I come back to school.
I think what keeps me motivated is at the start of the school year, I get to meet my students for the first time. There’s always a lot of growth that happens throughout the course of the year, so I’m really excited to see how students grow and change academically and socially.
What keeps me motivated at the beginning of the year is the fact that I’m going to be working with a new group of students. I’ll be able to teach them new things that I have solved from previous experiences I’ve had as a teacher with other groups.
I think what keeps me motivated is reflecting back on the year, learning from my mistakes and seeing ways that I can improve. I also always ask for feedback from my students because I want to make sure that they know they’re being heard. Incorporating what they want to get out of my teaching is something I always look forward to implementing and that keeps me motivated.
