Cesar Gaitan
IM2 Math teacher
I see myself as a coach for my students and as a coach I like to challenge students when it comes to their schoolwork. I want to be there as a supporter to provide the students with better knowledge and encourage them to produce the best schoolwork that they can. I provide myself as a coach to influence my students to realize that they all have potential.
Laura Lowery
AP Psychology/World Geography teacher
I believe in helping students through their transitional developmental stage in life which is high school and introduce social and emotional skills within my lessons. I think that it is important to help students with their academic knowledge to better understand themselves and the rest of the world.
Patrick Beaulieu
IB and AP French teacher
I believe in keeping my students very active and engaged in lessons because I hate wasting time. I think that there isn’t enough time, so I don’t want students wasting their time in class. I think students learn pronunciation and vocabulary through activities rather than memorizing lists of vocabulary and I try to make my lessons entertaining, but it can’t be entertaining every day.
Myrna Takaki
Social Science/World History teacher
I believe that all students have the ability to learn and I want my passion for history to influence students to connect today and the history I teach. The answers to the human condition are found within history and I believe that education must use content to provide students with skills that can be used in other subjects. Social science allows students to develop as thinkers and analyze and reflect new ideas. We look to the past to craft our future.
