In this issue’s video, we are covering the Bonita Vista High (BVH) Homecoming Football game against Montgomery High School (MOH). We ask BVH Running Back and senior Kenneth Jordan (23), Middle Linebacker and junior Aiden Cortes (44), Defensive back and sophomore Cole Margetts (31), and the Head Coach, Jay Hernandez, what they do to prepare for their big game beforehand. They mention their methods of staying focused while being on the field. All of the players give their insight and advice of what they do under pressure and how they move past it. Hernandez mentions the expectations he has for the Barons’ playing towards the upcoming game. Overall, he and his players hope for an exciting game that will end the season.

I am a senior at BVH and this is my first year on staff for the Crusader. I am currently the Features Editor, Photographer and Videographer on staff. I initially joined newspaper because I wanted to improve my writing skills and meet new people. I am hopeful, as the Crusader is a great opportunity to acquire new and valuable skills I might not have gained elsewhere. Outside of school I enjoy volunteering at my church and occasionally learn new songs on the piano.

Hello! I am a senior at BVH, and I have been on the Crusader staff for all four years now. This year I am Co Editor-in-Chief and was previously the Editor-at-Large, Sports Editor and Sports Copy-Editor. The reason I originally joined newspaper was because I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and try something new. I also really enjoy reporting and taking photos at school and sporting events on and off campus. Outside of newspaper, you can find me playing as a midfielder and defender for BVH’s varsity field hockey and varsity girls’ lacrosse teams.
