“I once had a student tell me that they did not have their homework because their rabbit ate it. Then they had their mom call and confirm the rabbit had in fact eaten their homework. It was not a bad excuse but it was an interesting one. I have actually had a personal experience where my rabbit once ate my homework too. In the beginning, I did not believe him at first, I was like ‘No way your rabbit ate your homework.'”

“The most interesting and funny excuse a student has given me for why they did not complete an assignment was that they were grounded and their parents did not allow them to do and turn in the assignment.”
