In the start of the school year SUHSD has been asking schools within the district to switch from their current program, Illuminate, over to Formative for all assessments including final exams. The new program allows easier access to both staff and students for test taking and is within the learning structure of every required class.

Before teaching various English courses at BVH, Veronica Mendez was a former Bonita Vista Middle School teacher. With her years worth of teaching a wide range of students, Mendez looks forward to her new position as a Eastlake Middle School English 8 teacher. She hopes to meet new teachers and understand different teaching techniques.
