“I think it is cool, but I feel like it is overdone and could have been more unique. It does not really give us a huge range of outfits to wear, mostly blue, pink and purple. It could have been a little more diverse in style and color choices. But overall, it was still a fun idea.”

Allister Kastlunger (Sophomore)
“I really like the homecoming theme. The theme Rio is very bright, fun, and colorful and I think it is a really good theme for homecoming. Last year, I went to Chula Vista High School, and the theme was also Rio and I did not like it as much, but this year I appreciated it more. And since I was a part of the homecoming halftime show, I think it is a really good theme because there are a lot of good ways you can dance to it and incorporate cultural aspects of Rio. It is just a fun theme for dresses and outfits that people wore to the actual dance.”

Katelyn Westover (Junior)
“I think it is a really fun theme. This year it is a lot more colorful and festive, and I love that we can do so many new things with it. It makes for a theme that everybody can enjoy from the music to the decorations and it feels really cheerful and energetic overall.”

Noah Farmer (Senior)
“I think this year’s homecoming theme is really good and fun, honestly one of the best we have had. People can really dress toward the theme, and the decorations and colors make it even more exciting. Since it is tied to a childhood movie and Brazilian culture, it feels nostalgic and vibrant.”
