n Nov. 14, the Bonita Vista High (BVH) Lady Barons girls varsity flag football team confronted Calexico High School (CHS) Bulldogs at home in the semi-finals of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Division I Championship tournament.  In the first half of the game, BVH defensive back, wide receiver and junior Jamiya Valenciano (8) catches a deep pass and celebrates her touchdown.

On Oct. 23, the Bonita Vista High (BVH) varsity girls’ flag football team played a home game against Grossmont High School (GHS). Tensions were at an all time high during the half as BVH was losing 0-6, but after getting fired up in the huddle the team made an epic come back with a 12-6 win.
