Barons boys’ soccer extends win streak to four

The Bonita Vista boys’ soccer team played in a home match against the Olympian Eagles on Feb. 3. 

This was the first time the Barons would contest against the Eagles this season. 

Despite this, BVH still reigned supreme over the Eagles 4-2 in the match extending their win streak to four games in a row. The Barons’ record is now 10-2-2. 

“Some things we can carry over for the rest of the season are to keep staying patient and just keep working harder,” senior and center midfielder Dante Laura (16) said. 

The team will next play in an away game against Mater Dei on Feb. 6 at 6pm.

On Apr. 15, the Lady Barons lacrosse team reigned victorious over the Santa Fe Christian Eagles. Within the second quarter, senior and middle Charlene Mares (12) runs across the pitch to track the ball possessed by the Eagles.

Hello! I am currently a senior and this is my first year on the Crusader as this year’s Sports Editor. I initially joined as a staff member because I have always had a passion for journalism and giving others a voice who do not have one. Outside of newspaper, you can see me debating in Speech and Debate, tutoring at T.E.A.M, doing some art in Art Therapy and setting up a TEDxBonitaVistaHS conference.  Fun Fact: I have three brothers! Hi! I’m Alex Martinez and I am a photographer for newspaper this year. Something about me is I’ve been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for about four years, mostly in the TL league. This is actually my first year competing in the adult division, and I’m currently working toward earning a division rank in both NAGA and the Jiu Jitsu World League.
