The BVH boys’ varsity lacrosse team played in a home game against El Capitan on Feb. 23.
After the full four quarters were played, BVH came short to El Capitan with an ending score of 5-20. This is the first time the BVH team has faced El Capitan this season. Although BVH faced a loss, they were still able to get some points on the score board.
With this loss, the team will continue to work hard together and become stronger. In order to become stronger, the team will work on their struggles during the game.
“We definitely need to work on our coordination with our defense and communication within our defense. Also having more physicality on the field, we will work on consistency on our transitions up the field,” junior and defender Edward Armentia said.
It is also important to highlight that despite the loss, the team still remained united as they did some great plays. Junior and midfielder Chase Holden adds how despite the team’s strengths, there are still some improvements to be made.
“Our team had lots of strengths during the game, but mainly we had great passing, shooting and executing with our plays. Although we lost, we played a great game and are only getting better from here on out,” Holden said.
